Richard Bridgeman, Senior Consultant
Richard is a Sr. Consultant at Publishing Consultants and holds a BSEE in Software Engineering. Richard's experiences in software engineering disciplines, combined with a long history of technical writing, uniquely qualifies him for this age in which the traditional values of typography and layout have intersected with software tools that allow automated management of large document sets.

Richard has held a broad range of positions throughout his 25 years of work experience including roles as software engineer, ASIC design engineer, applications engineer, technical marketing engineer, and marketing manager. More recently, he has held management positions at Silicon Valley high tech companies.

These experiences qualify him for many roles, including software-centric tasks required to implement high-performance computer-aided document management and repurposing. Among the disciplines where Richard excels are:

Using industry-standard extensible language facilities and tool vendor APIs to bring custom features, capabilities and integration to publishing tool chains.

Document analysis in order to produce content models (DTDs or EDDs) for structured documentation development and low-cost automated repurposing.
Writing technical papers, manuals, user guides, and white papers where precision, clarity and readability are paramount.
